Personal Experience

As a former business owner himself, Bret McGowne understands the concerns that buyers and sellers face. When dealing with the ownership transfer of privately held businesses and franchise re-sales, Bret is mindful of what is most important to buyers and sellers, and he takes the time to research and explain the details of every step of a transaction. Bret has earned the prestigious Certified Business Intermediary designation from the International Business Brokers Association. Held by fewer than 400 individuals in the U.S., the CBI designation is granted to IBBA members who have met rigorous requirements in education, industry knowledge and experience, ethical standards, and continuing education. In addition, Bret owned and managed the Springfield Renew Crew (formerly Wood Re New) franchise for more than ten years. He led the franchise system in sales every year and was Franchisee of the Year in 2012. After selling his Renew Crew business, Bret was asked by the corporate office to serve as a business consultant for the Renew Crew franchise. A native of the Ozarks, Bret holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, both from Drury University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
